YouTube MCP is free, open-source software released under the MIT License. By installing or using it you agree to these terms.
1. Provided as is
The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages or other liability arising from the software or its use. The full licence text is in the repository.
2. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for your own Google account, your own Google Cloud project and OAuth credentials, and your YouTube Data API quota and any limits Google applies.
- You are responsible for the actions you ask the software (or your AI assistant) to take on your YouTube account, such as subscribing, unsubscribing or deleting playlists.
- You must comply with the YouTube Terms of Service, the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. By using YouTube MCP you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
3. Not an official product
YouTube MCP is an independent project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google or YouTube. “YouTube” and “Google” are trademarks of Google LLC.
